Chris Vincze’s film is more about technique than it is about content. A man is walking down the street but a river of humanity is flowing backwards past him. They are in reverse as he ploughs on – but could there be love at the end of it all?
This is a quirky short, which displays good technique – especially considering it was shot in just one day. The music by Steven Poole is also worthy of note and matches the action perfectly.
Best of all, though, Evol features cracking performances from Rick Warden and Lucy Barker, who manage to speak volumes with a look and perfectly convey emotion, even though there is no script.
